JANUARY 23, 2016: FLORIDA CHAPTER MYSTERY WRITERS OF AMERICA LUNCHEON MEETING
PROGRAM: “Writing About Far-Away Places”
So the holidays are over and the winter doldrums have set in (okay, we exaggerate – we know we live in paradise). Regardless, you’re dreaming of a far-flung destination – perhaps one you’ve been, want to go to, or best of all – write about. How do you get the details right? How do your bring a place to life for a reader who’s never been there? How do you avoid offending the locals? Learn these secrets and more from a globe-trotting, multiple award-winning bestselling author.
Charles Todd is the work of New York Times bestselling co-authors and mother-son team Charles and Caroline Todd. They are the authors of 28 novels, a short story anthology, and sixteen short stories.
