PROGRAM: The Anatomy of a Best Seller
In today’s publishing climate, writers in every genre need to face their worst adversary—poor to non-existent sales. V. S. Alexander will share his own research into “The Anatomy of a Best Seller,” as well as draw on the conclusions of James W. Hall’s groundbreaking book, HIT LIT. Alexander will guide you through the special characteristics that make up the best seller, as well as provide useful tips for your own work that may help you hit the vaunted best seller list of your dreams.

V.S. Alexander has sold more than 200,000 novels for Kensington Books in two-and-a-half years, as well as foreign rights in nine countries in Europe and South America. His second novel, The Taster, has been optioned for film and translated into several languages. His latest release, The Irishman’s Daughter, received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and also acclaim from the American Library Association. His fourth novel, The Traitor, about the German student resistance movement in World War II, is scheduled for release in March 2020, with a fifth book, The Sculptress, slated for the following year
